I was asked a very logical question last week about, “What do Jews do on Christmas?”
At first I laughed since this is one holiday that many of us actually follow the “stereotype.” Since moving to Arizona, we have not made too many connections with new friends but back in New Jersey, we had friends who were Non-Jews and if they invited us to come and celebrate with them, we…
A great article was posted today in the AZ Central about teachers and mentors. For new teachers, many do need mentors. The crying chair is quite amusing to read about and the comments from the readers are even more hilarious with misspellings and higher than mighty attitudes. Anyone who has taught knows the ups and downs of the classroom and the educational system.
The first few years of…
For the first time in many college student’s life, moving away from home and living on campus at college, the freedom student’s feel can be like a huge weight lifted off of their shoulders. Parental units are no longer around and for the first time in a student’s life, they get to make their own decisions and deal with the consequences.

I found these poems that I want to share with you. The Grandma poem really brought a strong emotion as we lost my Grandma Pearl this past June. Grandma Pearl was born on Thanksgiving and every year we would celebrate her birthday and I know this year for my family will be a tough one as it being the first Thanksgiving without my grandmother.

Does Phoenix, the Mid-West or the…
For many in college, money is always an issue.
For anyone in Arizona, in Peoria off of Bell Road, Antigua Sports Company is having their $5.00 warehouse sale today on all their clothing products! Many have different logos and golf shirts but found some awesome YANKEES shirts as well as some great workout outfits!
We even found some NJ Devils wear but no METS stuff. Sorry…

As I began researching about Ph.D programs, I came across Argosy University. I never heard of them and doing a search for universities in Phoenix, they popped up. I was interested in possibly pursuing a Ph.D in education but wasn’t ready to fully go back to sit in a classroom; Argosy offers combination programs. Independent studies and classroom instruction is possible and even full 100% financial aid is available….
This week I had a very interesting experience on MySpace. Some 25 year old sends a message of “MILF +)” to me. I responded with “Thank you but I’m not a mother yet.” His response, “Your hot.”(yes spelled wrong). My response, “Thank you.” His response, “You have big boobs.” My response, “Really? No shit. Go find your own.”
Did I receive a response from this? What do you think?
After not…
Living in a community with no HOA (homeowner’s association) has its advantages and disadvantages. We thought it would be great without dealing with a board of over controlling freaks and old people who are retired that have nothing else to do with their lives but pretend to rule everyone’s elses lives.
Well we have slowly come to the conclusion that living in a community with an HOA isn’t really that…
